About "Lexy"
MEET THIS GENTLE & HUMBLE LITTLE GIANT
Affectionately known as “Lexy”, Ms. J. Lexy Brooks is the Founder and President of VIP Connected Entertainment llc, the largest Caribbean-American owned Talent/Event Planning Agency. VIP was founded in 2007 and is based in New York City. Prior to launching her own company, Ms. Brooks was employed by Vardinoyannis Group. She also had the pleasure of working with Spitzer Engineering, real estate tycoon. Ms. Brooks enjoyed the challenge of juggling between her commercial real estate job and the legal world. She would say it prepared her for stepping into her own business and has shaped her into a well rounded business woman. After 7 years at her corporate job, Ms. Brooks decided it was time to step out on her own and spread her wings.
Ms. Brooks has worked with the likes of Lionel Richie, Goo Goo Dolls, CeCe Winans, Kenny Rogers, Patti labelle, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, trey Songz, Air Supply, Toni Braxton, Sean Paul, Damian Marley, Beres Hammond, Beenie Man, and a long list of a-list celebrities.

In 2008, Ms. Brooks assisted with bringing a US$7 million multiplex movie cinema to the country of St. Kitts and Nevis. "Caribbean Cinemas" opened its' doors to hundreds of movie goers and Ms. Brooks was on hand to serve as Mistress of Ceremony as well as ribbon cutting.

In 2009, she was named most “Powerful Woman In Reggae Music” by Caribbean Lifestyle TV.

In 2011, she appeared on BET and BET J as a commentator on the show “TOP 20 GREATEST
MOMENTS IN REGGAE”, which aired for 6 months . -
In 2013, she was awarded "AMBASSADOR TO PORT HARCOURT", Nigeria (along with Shaggy, Patra, Wyclef Jean, Busta Rhymes, Chaka Demus and Plies and Beenie Man) by the Director General Mr. Sam Dede, for her dedication and hard work with bringing the best in entertainment to their country for over 10 years.

In 2014, Ms. Brooks was awarded the "STRATEGIC VISION AWARD IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT" by the “Young Gifted and Black Entrepreneurs of America”.

CARIBBEAN ALL-STAR STUDENTS -was created to help inner city school children improve their writing skills and creative thinking abilities. This program is a Writing Essay Competition given to Primary and Secondary school children throughout the Caribbean.
